PORTALBERITA.CO.ID - Vietnamese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer VinFast has announced a significant strategic move aimed at accelerating the adoption of green transportation solutions across Indonesia. This initiative involves the extension of their complimentary charging facility for all VinFast electric vehicle owners.
The decision to prolong this substantial customer incentive was officially confirmed by company representatives during a recent media event. This announcement coincided with the media drive event for the VinFast VF MPV 7 model, underscoring the company's commitment to the Indonesian market.
This key information was officially disclosed on Saturday, June 1, during the aforementioned media drive activities held in Jakarta. As reported by Detik Oto, this extension signals a long-term commitment from VinFast toward its Indonesian clientele.
The primary objective behind this generous extension is clearly centered on reducing range anxiety and lowering the operational costs associated with EV ownership. By providing free charging until 2029, VinFast is actively encouraging more consumers to transition to electric mobility.
Furthermore, the company is heavily investing in infrastructure development to support this growing EV ecosystem. VinFast is ambitiously targeting the establishment of 10,000 Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (SPKLU) across the archipelago by the end of the current calendar year.
Rinaldi Ramdani, who serves as the Head of Training Department for VinFast Indonesia, elaborated on the current infrastructure strategy being implemented. He detailed how current charging capabilities are being seamlessly integrated with existing partner networks.
"The charging infrastructure at present is already integrated with the network of stations belonging to our partners," stated Rinaldi Ramdani.
This integration strategy is designed to enhance user convenience significantly, making it easier for VinFast owners to locate and utilize available charging facilities wherever they travel within Indonesia. This network expansion is crucial for achieving mass EV adoption targets.
According to Rinaldi Ramdani, this comprehensive approach—combining long-term user incentives with robust infrastructure development—positions VinFast strongly in the competitive Indonesian electric vehicle landscape.
