The US and Iran are reportedly nearing a potential agreement aimed at reopening the critical Strait of Hormuz shipping lane, which has been a major source of recent instability.
White House officials suggested that this potential deal could be finalized as early as Sunday, June 14, on the sidelines of the main G7 proceedings.
"The Trump administration maintains that it has secured a strong framework and expects other G7 member nations to take supportive actions once the agreement progresses," stated officials, as reported by Businesstimes.
