As reported by Detik Oto, the initial testing fees levied at the Bekasi Proving Ground have been set to commence from the threshold of IDR 1 million. This pricing structure aims to provide a cost-effective domestic alternative for manufacturers.
Iman Sukandar, who serves as the Head of the Roadworthiness Testing and Motor Vehicle Certification Center (BPLJSKB) within Kemenhub, provided further context regarding the fee structure. He noted that the final tariff applied would be subject to variation based on the specific testing requirements.
"The amount of the tariff is variable," stated Iman Sukandar, detailing the flexible nature of the fee schedule for various testing procedures. This indicates that the final cost will depend on the scope and complexity of the required certifications.
