PORTALBERITA.CO.ID - Superapp giant Grab has formally teamed up with Enterprise Singapore to launch a significant joint support program aimed squarely at assisting small food and beverage (F&B) merchants. This new initiative, officially unveiled on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, seeks to enhance both consumer demand across dine-in and delivery channels while simultaneously upgrading the digital competencies of these local businesses.
The partnership has been named the "Grab Full House Mission," recognizing the pressing need to address the escalating operational expenditures and intense channel pressures currently confronting smaller F&B establishments. This collaboration is timely, especially considering recent findings that highlight digital reliance in dining choices.
As reported by Businesstimes, data from Grab’s own "Singapore Asia Food and Grocery Trends Report 2023" revealed a substantial consumer trend. Specifically, 84 percent of users surveyed indicated that they utilize the application to explore and discover new dining establishments.
To directly stimulate foot traffic for neighborhood eateries, the program introduces "Dine Out precinct campaigns," offering consumers discounts of up to 15 percent when utilizing Grab’s Dine Out feature. A pilot for this campaign began in Tanjong Pagar on May 26 and is scheduled to run through July 25, with subsequent rollouts planned for Holland Village and Jalan Besar.
Furthermore, similar incentives are being extended to the delivery sector, where small F&B businesses listed on GrabFood will also benefit from matching 15 percent delivery discounts to capture increased consumer demand. This dual approach targets both physical visitation and at-home ordering convenience.
In terms of capability building, GrabAcademy will collaborate closely with both Enterprise Singapore and SkillsFuture Singapore over the next three years to conduct essential annual workshops. These sessions will focus on critical areas such as productivity improvements, effective promotion strategies, and the application of artificial intelligence tools.
An onboarding package, fully sponsoring up to 70 merchant packages valued at S$388 each, is set to open in December, accompanied by complimentary bi-annual business strategy reports for participating merchants. Grab Singapore managing director Alejandro Osorio elaborated on the initiative's core philosophy during the announcement.
"We believe that supporting merchants today requires more than simply helping them generate orders. It means helping them to build the visibility, skills and resilience to grow sustainably over the long term," said Alejandro Osorio, Grab Singapore managing director.
Senior Minister of State for Trade and Industry Low Yen Ling attended the launch, emphasizing the partnership’s alignment with broader governmental goals for urban development. The program is seen as reinforcing existing efforts to enhance the local economic landscape.
